The Cork Humanists have celebrated World Humanist Day - always around the Summer Solstice -  in various ways over the years. We usually like to plan a project with a definite goal such as a picnic or outing for the less advantaged of our brothers and sisters in the city. We raise funds in different ways: quiz nights, donations and gifts from institutions in the city, and grants from the HAI (Humanist Association of Ireland). We commission a local cafe to prep the picnic, get other supplies, and make the magic happen on the day ☺️ .
